Being a volunteer changes your life. It gives you a new perspective, a new way of looking at your own problems when you have a chance to understand others. The training is really beneficial for your own communication skills and relationships.
Please consider volunteering at the Crisis Centre!
The Crisis Prevention, Intervention & Information Centre for Northern BC generally offers volunteer training three times a year. If you are interested in taking this valuable training and are eager to help people in crisis, email the Program Coordinator at email@example.com and they will send you an application to fill out. Once you have completed and submitted your application, you will be contacted for an interview. Please note that due to the increased cost to train new volunteers, we are now asking trainees for a $100 non-refundable fee to defray the cost of training. This fee also includes the ASIST training and certificate that comes with crisis line worker training and is usually $150 alone.
Volunteer training sessions are ongoing, and we are always accepting applications.
